Launching of the VECAIPA project
The agriculture of the future
We are pleased to announce the start of the VECAIPA project (Electric Self-Driving Autonomous Vehicle for the Automation of Greenhouses and their Agricultural Processes) in collaboration with ZIZU and FLORETTE.
What is our objective? Develop an autonomous and intelligent vehicle with adjustable chassis, designed to optimize greenhouse crops. Through automation and digitization of agricultural processes, we will improve productivity and crop management, reducing low value-added tasks.
Strategic lines of the project:
- Autonomous driving technology: navigation accuracy of less than 2 cm with advanced sensors, LIDAR, cameras and electronic systems (ROS2).
- Adaptable chassis: vehicle with adjustable track width (1.5 – 2.0 m) to adapt to different crops.
- Agricultural automation: AI and machine vision for digitization and monitoring of key factors (irrigation, fertilization, growth).
- Sustainability: decarbonization through tractor electrification, reducing emissions.
- Occupational safety: elimination of hazardous tasks, improving health and safety in agricultural work.
Impact and sustainability: With this project we are moving towards the agriculture of the future, contributing to the digital and sustainable transformation of the sector, focusing on operational efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint.
One more step towards agricultural innovation that will lead the way to a more efficient and environmentally friendly agriculture!
